Does Vedic Meditation work?

Can anyone learn Vedic Meditation?
Absolutely, the practice is suitable for everyone, regardless of age, background, financial wealth or belief system. It’s adaptable and accessible to all.
Is personal guidance necessary to learn Vedic Meditation?
Like everything in life, you will undoubtedly see greater benefits with proper instruction. This technique has been passed down for thousands of years, bringing with it a deep level of intention, purity and overall richness in experience.
How much time do I need to dedicate to Vedic Meditation daily?
Two 20-minute sessions per day, but flexibility exists based on your needs. Consistency matters more than duration. We will talk further on this during the intro talk.
What does the course fee cover?
Your contribution covers four training sessions plus the option to resit the entire course anytime in the future. You also have the option for free follow up and join group meditations online or in person.
Will I have to stop drinking coffee or alcohol?
You are not asked to give up anything. However you will have deeper experiences by freeing up your system from stimulants and toxins.
Where does Vedic Meditation come from?
Vedic Meditation has been passed down from an unbroken line of teachers known as the Shankaracharya lineage. Though its origins are from India, the technique is not exclusive to India – it is universal knowledge, designed for the everyday householder.
Is Vedic Meditation religious?
No. Vedic Meditation is a science from Sanskrit texts called the Vedas. The term ‘Veda’ translates to ‘science’ and they are the documentations of natural law. These texts predate religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism.
What are the Vedic Meditation mantras?
Within the Veda there are many different types of mantras for many different uses. In this practice we use personal mantras known as ‘bija mantras’ or seed sounds. Like a seed, these sounds are planted deep beneath the surface of the mind where they take root.
I am an overthinker, will meditation work?
Yes. This meditation is particularly effective for the busy mind. After taking the course you will see how simple and effortless it is to let go of thoughts.
I can’t sit still, will I be able to meditate?
Many people think meditation is about sitting cross legged like a statue. However during the course you will learn how to settle the body into a natural and relaxing way that suits you.
Can Vedic Meditation be practiced alongside other meditation or spiritual practices?
Yes, it can complement other practices. Once you learn, we will discuss how best to integrate the technique with other practices.
Is Vedic Meditation the same as TM?
The technique taught by Michael Watts was passed down by Vedic Master Maharishi Vyasand Giri who received it from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi – founder of Transcendental Meditation. Michael is an independent teacher of Vedic Meditation and is not affiliated with any proprietary organization.
Can you teach my staff to meditate?
